Launch Free Community WiFi in General Santos City

A milestone for digital inclusion and empowered Filipino communities

General Santos City, Philippines — Kronenthal Holdings Inc. (KHI), in partnership with JUNO Tech and through the initiative of Hon. Lorelie G. Pacquiao, has officially activated citywide Free Community WiFi across General Santos. This rollout represents a major step in KHI’s nationwide program to position digital access as a core public utility, supporting education, livelihood, healthcare access, and civic participation.

Powered by JUNO Tech’s Free WiFi Platform

The Free Community WiFi system is delivered through JUNO Tech’s proprietary network infrastructure, designed to provide high-quality, ad-supported internet access in public areas.

This pilot deployment in General Santos serves as the first full-scale demonstration of JUNO’s nationwide capability.

Leadership Behind the Initiative

The rollout was completed through close collaboration between:

  • Hon. Lorelie G. Pacquiao, Mayor of General Santos City
  • KHI President Anielyn V. Lelis
  • JUNO Tech CEO Travis Joachim

Their unified commitment ensures not only technological deployment but also long-term community benefit, transparency, and modernization of public access infrastructure.

A coordination meeting took place at the General Santos City Hall as part of the project’s implementation.

Aligned with KHI’s Nation-Building Framework

The initiative strengthens KHI’s pillars of development:

  • Shelter — WiFi integration planned for 4PH housing communities
  • Food Security — Supports digital market linkage and logistics
